KCUFF 2026 – September 11-19

The 2026 Kansas City Underground Film Festival will take place from September 11-19 at Charlotte Street. The full program and schedule will be announced by August 15.

There's no admission to KCUFF. There never has been. We think a film festival should be open to anyone who wants to walk in the door, not just people who can afford a ticket. Donations help us keep doing this, but we'll never require one.

We pick films we actually believe in.

We're not trying to cram in a little of everything so there's something for everybody. Every film in this lineup got picked because it has a real perspective, something the filmmaker actually wanted to say. We'd rather show fewer films we love than pad a schedule.

Not a marketplace.

KCUFF isn't where you come to get discovered or sell distribution rights. If that's the goal, there are better festivals for it. What we can offer is an audience that shows up because they love film and a room full of people who will actually pay attention to your work.

Genre doesn't matter. Budget doesn't matter.

Horror, comedy, drama, sci-fi, romance, whatever. Shot on an iPhone or shot on film. If it got rejected somewhere else for being too weird or too small, send it to us. That's kind of the point of this festival.
